Stay Inspired – I am Sexy & I know it !

The most prestigious & the oldest of Hindi film Industry Awards - “Filmfare Awards” came to an end yesterday. Pre bash Nomination party, Award ceremony & After party.. Must be exhausting for the celebs to attend so many Award functions considering there is a new one coming up every year.. Phew!! For me Filmfare still remains the most sacred of all & its our very own “Oscars”.  So, I wait anxiously every year for these to take place.
The only celebrity I was wanting to have a look at the Red Carpet was the very sexy Deepika Padukone. I would have also loved to see Kangana but since she isn’t doing much these days it’s only expected of her to be absconding from such events. Both these girls know how to push the envelope when it comes to style & they never cease to impress us. Their style is forward, daring and anything but boring  They are not afraid to experiment and and that’s what I luv luv and absolutely luv about both of them. Infact it is very comparable to the International Red Carpet and when I say that I would like our Indian celebs to experiment more and more with their style and take cues from their Western counter parts, it is exactly what I get to see with these girls. In a way two of them are quite similar.
I have not ever been a very big fan of Ms Padukone but her constant Style evolution has made me change my views. According to me she is a force to reckon with when it comes to glamour & Style.  She manages to sizzle & hold everyone’s attention at every Red Carpet event. Deepika in something like a Prabal Gurung dress was exactly I would have wanted to see on this leggy lass. Daring, Bold & fiercely Sexy.

It may not be my first sighting of this Prabal Gurung cutout gown from his Fall 2012 collection but it definitely was comparable to the first one I had seen on Zoe Saldana somewhere in June 2012 & she had appeared in FUF’s LOTW.

Deepika does full justice to it with her Coral lips, and pulled back hair. If I may have a small grouse, it would be her choice of shoes. I feel she could have done better with something strappy. Nevertheless, the Louboutins weren’t so much of a deal breaker.

She has been keeping the Style barometer quite high and churning out one fashionable look after another that it’s become hard to keep pace. Every time I see her somewhere and I go WoW and trust me I have rehearsed my gasps very well :-)
Deepika has made some not so conventional choices at the Red Carpet but the best part is that she seems to be doing it right. Just when she was seen in a Zebra patterned Naeem Khan at Big Star Entertainment,  a Teal colored Lace Dolce Gabbana at Screen Awards raking in some serious amount of positive reviews, she goes and ups the Style meter with yet another Stunning look at Filmfare Awards. Just goes to prove that she has nailed what to wear at these glamorous soirees.

Sexy, Tall, Lithe & Athletic are some of the adjectives that describe Deepika and she knows how to use all these to her advantage. Couple it with one of the best Stylist in the Industry - Anaita Shroff Adjania and what do you get – a heady “COCKTAIL” of stylishly trendy & fresh fashion.

Deepika’s personal style seems to be very similar to the one seen on her in Cocktail. She has a flair for fashion and is very comfortable with her sexuality. It is very evident from the way she dresses up for glamorous or even casual events. What I love about her is that she experiments with her hair.
Messy buns, Bouffants, braids, pony tails, Retro waves, beachy curls. She can carry them all & I think she has a thing for Bold Lips & Nude heels :-))

Easy Breezy Maxis or shorter hemlines she rocks them in a manner only known to few. One requires inert style, confidence & immense amount of Attitude to do so (and ofcourse a stylist as good as Anaita Adajania)

Her style is cool, clean and non fussy. She likes to keep it simple and let her body & face do the talking. There is a whole lot of freshness and variety in her style. From Jumpsuits to cropped trousers to colored denims to chambray shirts to peplum to lace she was seen sporting them all.

Her casual look consists a lot of blazers, T shirts, distressed denims & flats. Her love for a certain pair of distressed denim & white T is quite evident. Interesting to see how she pairs them with different looks.

She looks equally stunning in Indian wear

With her latest release Race -2 which again looks high on Style I am sure that the current Style Icon of the Nation will not fail to impress us and I am looking forward to some more Style inspirations.
