It’s Black, It’s White. It’s Black & White – Spring Summer 2013

Welcome the Spring Summer of 2013 with the revival of the most basic & evergreen pairing of colors – Black & White which is also known as the Monochrome trend.

Seen on Runways at shows like Louis Vuitton, Oscar De la Renta, Jason Wu, Philip Lim, Marc Jacobs, DVF, Prada while showcasing the Spring / Summer 2013 collection, Black & White seemed to be the favorite this year. No wonder that once the fashion magazines were out with the Spring Summer issue, both the beauties simultaneously (Priyanka and Katrina) were sporting Monochrome on the cover.

Hand on your heart, aren’t we all happy to see this trend in it’s full glory this year cos I know how our wardrobes somehow stack up these 2 colors and then all we see is Black & White in the closet. It’s about time you take out all that Black & White  from the closet into the open without being typecast into the boring “B/W” category. C’mon it’s THE hottest trend this season. Just Go ahead and pair them in whatever way you wish to. In the end it just ends up fine. That’s the beauty of Monochrome. Though I am certain that you will not be short of clothes / accessories for this trend but just incase you are aching for something new then the entire high street is currently flooded with this trend. It could be worn as separates or you could adopt any of the other ways it is currently available in the market. Polka Dots, Stripes, Prints, Houndstooth, color blocked, checks etc etc. It’s Monochrome at it’s best

Also regarded as one of the most work appropriate combos, you can go ahead and make the most of it in form of shirt & Trouser separates or Pant suits.

My Tip : Blazers add a lot of character to the whole look and make it formal too. Most of you will have a black one. Invest in a white one OR a Black & White striped one this year. Pair it with leggings or black shorts.
