I know the title is so cheesy but for the lack of a better one One of the most sought after trends of F/W 2016 is the Velvet texture. There is no escaping this one. Dresses, Jumpsuits, Tops, Pant Suits, Bodysuits, Bombers & thats not all handbags, accessories, boots.. its just everywhere. It s no longer a fabric of dark, gothic evening clothes. Nor is it just Sabyasachi’s domain, Velvet has now moved into a Street Styler’s daytime wardrobe. Time to pack your summery dresses and make way for the fabric of the season.
Obviously the Runways of Paris & New york have been hugely responsible for bringing this trend to high street but what makes it more exciting is the way it has been incorporated in the casual day to day pieces instead of coming to us in some fancy (aka unwearable) form.
Since the weather is still very warm in Mumbai I decided to go with this T shirt dress which was pretty comfy for the weather outside & I am crushing on this beautiful Burgundy velvet clutch from Charles & Keith which i decided to sling across my dress to complete the look. Hope you like my style of wearing velvet in Bombay!
